Nestiel

How it works

Nestiel does not connect to SMTP or IMAP. All email send/receive and delivery events go through the Resend HTTP API; metadata lives in your own Postgres, attachments in your object storage.

The data flow in four steps

01

Your domain + Resend

Verify your sending domain in Resend and configure one org-level API key shared by every inbox.

02

Send & receive over HTTP

Sending, receiving, and delivery events all go through the Resend REST API; SMTP is only used to send login codes.

03

Your data, your database

Email metadata, conversations, and org data live in your own Postgres; attachment binaries live in your object storage.

04

Automatic threading

Outbound mail embeds a plus-tag and References so replies are woven back into the right conversation.

FAQ

Do I need my own domain?

Yes. Nestiel is built for teams that already have their own domain connected to Resend, sending from addresses like hello@yourdomain.com.

Does it connect to SMTP or IMAP directly?

No. All sending, receiving, and delivery events go through the Resend HTTP API. SMTP is used only to deliver login one-time codes.

Where is my email data stored?

Email metadata, conversations, and org data live in your own Postgres; attachment binaries live in the object storage you configure — the data is yours to own and operate.

Can multiple members share one inbox?

Yes. Attach mailboxes like support@ or sales@ to an org and the whole team can work them, with admin / member roles separating permissions.

What is separate sending?

When sending one message to many recipients, Nestiel delivers each their own standalone email on a tunable 1–10 minute cadence, with pause and resume from the send-task panel — protecting deliverability.

How do I enable AI email capabilities?

Translation, AI drafting, and per-recipient personalization are all live. An admin drops an OpenAI-compatible model (API key, base URL, model name) into the org settings; every member in the org then shares the same key.

Can scheduled send and bulk sending be combined?

Yes. On the compose page, enable both 'separate sending' and 'scheduled send'; when the time arrives, the system materializes the message into a send task and delivers it row by row on the tunable cadence, with pause and resume from the send-task panel.
